Hi,It's really surprise me. This obesity issue is because of unhealthy lifestyle and unbalanced food. Less of exercise also will contribute to obesity.

So, we need to watch the food that we eat everyday. We need more anti-oxidant to neutralize the free radical inside our body. To get this we need to consume 5 type of fruits and 5 type of vegetables daily.

Obesity is really an epidemic these days. People have become very lazy and does not want to exercise anymore. I do a lot of jogging and brisk walking everyday just to be fit and healthy.

The only way you can manage obesity is throught Proper Diet and lots of exercise. The human body is designed for work so we should always get some form of physical exercise to stay fit.

Overweight females in Australia is 55% and Percentage of overweight males is a staggering 67%. The fact is that, this year Australia has the unique privilege of overtaking the USA as the fattest country in the world. The main reasons for such problems are,
* Very inactive society. Means, we are least bothered about exercising and food habits.
* The number of calories we consume in the food we eat has not dropped but increased. This has caused an energy imbalance that has created a tendency towards weight gain and obesity.
* Eating the wrong foods. In today's world, we eat too much fast-food and junk food which are high in fat and energy density.

Losing weight is definetly hard work.I use to overeat, but have found alot of strenght in keeping it under control.Since then, the feeling of success I felt by sticking to my plan to loose weight and stop over eating, has kept me motivated.

I think most Australians are in denial! I think we are a fat country not necessarily obese and definately not as big as Americans. How many of you have travelled to Disney Land and seen people eat turkey legs as they walk from one ride to the next, my husband and I were shocked! Lord help us if we ever reach that portion!!!
